Welcome/LOVE Family Boxes Sponsors

Welcome Boxes are special photo boxes lovingly packed by our volunteers and filled with an assortment of age-appropriate toys, snacks, and basic hygiene products for children entering foster care and awaiting placement into a resource family home or other placement setting.  These boxes are both meant to help occupy children while social worker staff obtain placement options and show the child unconditional love and support during one of their most difficult moments.

LOVE Family Boxes contain seasonal family-friendly activities for Resource Families to enjoy together to facilitate family connections and support healthy attachment among all family members.  They may also include specially requested items for children in placement such as a new filled backpack for school, gift cards for transportation and food for the resource family, or essential items from our clothing/supply closet.

Pamper Baby/TAY New Apartment Baskets Sponsors

Our Pamper Baby Placement Baskets are meant to provide every baby entering foster care with a special "Going Home" outfit as well as essential baby supplies such as diapers, wipes, diaper cream, special blanket, and toy/book.  We believe every baby should be celebrated with joy and expectation that they should know that..." they were wished for, longed for, prayed for and wanted!"

Many youth "age out" of the foster care system every year without the supports and family that are necessary to a successful life.  Our Transitional Age Youth (Ages 16-24 years old) Apartment Baskets provide basic supplies and community resources needed to support independent living.  We hope that these baskets will help youth feel celebrated and proud of achieving the milestone of their first apartment or other living space.

Food Pantry Box/New Mattress & Furniture Sponsors

Our monthly food pantry provides non-perishables and perishables (as seasonally available) to Resource Families in need in addition to our Transitional Age Youth living on their own.  We know that it can be difficult to manage the increased food needs for families especially when taking sibling sets and recognize that living on your own for the first time has a  learning curve and often results in experiencing food insecurity from time to time.  Our partnership with the Yolo Food Bank enables us to provide food to families and youth FREE of cost.

We all know sleeping anywhere other than you very own bed can be one of the most uncomfortable feelings. There really is nothing better than laying down in your own bed to rest each night.  We want nothing more but to provide the same for children entering the foster care system.  With your help we can provide a brand new clean mattress for each child entering care.
